Best Gun Safes

Now if you want the best gun safe for the money, I'm going to tell you something you didn't plan on hearing. Don't buy a gun safe at all. Nope, none of them are really any good. And I'm not talking about buying a cheap box store safe, everyone knows those are not the best gun safes. I'm talking about any safe that is marketed as a "gun safe" usually isn't worth it. Because the best gun safes aren't gun safes are all. The best gun safes are real, commercial level, double steel body TL rated safes. Safes with features you'd find in a bank or jewelry store. Features like heavy 1" steel plate doors or jig-saw fire doors that fit together like puzzles. Now safes like that, they are really the best gun safes. Not only do they have superior seals, every square inch of the product, from the relockers to the frames to the custom interiors, everything is stronger and more superior.

But do not fear. If you really want the best gun safe, just call up a custom safe shop and ask them to tell you about their best safe. You'll find out their best gun safe isn't a gun safe at all. They'll tell you about a level of safe they call "Commercial Grade."

Now I can tell you how "commercial safes" all have excellent step doors, thick hard-to-pry frames, concrete fire insulation, top and bottom bolts, 1" chest-plates and all sorts of cool features that will make you say, "Wow, that is the best gun safe by far." But once you do all that, you have to remember the safe which is the best, is the one that is "easiest to use". You want the guns to fit in your safe nicely without damaging each other. You want lights to go on when you open the safe. You want outlets inside your safe for you can store computers, dryers. You want your safe big enough to hold watches, jewelry, ammo and have extra room to store your wife and kids belongings too. Then you will truly have the best gun safe

Now... let's talk about your gun safe's interior. Gun safes don't hold weapons well. Can you image that? A gun safe that can't hold guns decent. The space inside a gun is usually too small and crammed to secure bolt-action rifles, scoped weapons with large sites or really any amount of ammo. To have the best gun safes means you'll need to have a custom-built interior made special for "your stuff". And interior that will take into consideration the size and length of your weapons. A gun safe that knows where it's watch winders and jewelry trays are located so lights can be installed in those areas. The best gun safes have about 30% extra space for all the unforeseeable belongings you'll want to store over your lifetime.

Getting a custom size gun safe for your home or office is something clients love. For example, if you have a 80" x 70" x 35" space in your garage or game room, the best gun safes are safes that are installed in those areas. That way, you'll utilize every square inch of your home. There are areas in every home that we call "dead space" or "lost space" Those areas have no purpose. If we can fill those areas with a gun safe, then you'll truly have the best gun safe for your home.

And we can also hide your gun safes by installed them behind paintings or fake doors. Because if a thief doesn't know you have a safe, how can he steal it? Oh yeah, a hidden gun safes are the best.

Buying the best safe also means you're getting the best price. Most gun safes are sold through middlemen who either mark up your price too high or demand the safe be manufactured cheaper so they can make more money. If possible, you want to cut out the middleman so you can buy your safe direct, which is much cheaper so you can spend more money on making the safe stronger and more fireproof. So the best gun safe is finding the best factory-direct manufacturer to purchase your gun safes direct.

You want to know something super cool? Cutting edge gun safes aren't gun safes at all. They're concrete gun rooms with heavy-duty vault doors. There super large gun safes have rooms filled with tactical panels. In my opinion, these large vault room are the new best gun safe. They only cost $10,000 and are called 4-in-1 safes. They can be used as massive gun safes, walk-in vaults, panic room and storm shelters. Why buy all four of these security products, when you can buy one super large gun safe all wrap into one. Now that's the best gun safe for the money. It's big, you'll never run out of space. These large gun safes are also the most fireproof. Because the volume of air inside the room is so expansive, it takes forever t heat it up during a fire.

In closing, when buying the best gun safe, remember, chances are, your safe won't get broken into. What makes your gun safe the best is how easy it is to use, how fast it is to open, the accessibility of your  weapons. How appealing it looks in your beautiful home. And how large it is so you'll never gun out of space. The last thing you want to do is buy three, four or five gun safes over your life.

Good luck finding the best gun safe. Call us if you need any help. We've been manufacturing gun safes for over 40 years. Thanks!

Gun Safes | If you have anymore gun safe questions

"Is there really a difference between a gun safe and a real safe? Yes, gun safes and high quality commercial safes you'd find at a pawn shop or millionaire's home are very different. The short answers is a real safes can't get broken into by a smash and grab robbery. Commercial safes that typically hold $100,000 plus worth of items are much heavier duty too. They have thick 1/4" steel bodies and sometimes even double steel 1/2" plate doors. When you have a high end gun safe with thicker steel, that means most cutting devices can't penetrate your steel body or door. You'd need a cutting torch to get in those amazing safes. And cutting device most thieves don't have when they smash your front door in and try to rip you off. So a higher quality real safe keeps about 99% of crooks out of your safe. But if you have a thin, cheap 16 gauge steel box store gun safe, any burglar with a crow bar and a few minutes can bend back the frame and pry your door open. Remember, a simple Sawzall cutting device can penetrate those thin steel walls in minutes. That's why real safes have thicker steel. To stop cutting or torch attacks. So yes, if you're going to buy a gun safe go wild and custom order steel that is 3/16" steel or thicker.

Another feature a real safe has that a gun safe doesn't have is a thick frame that prevents pry ins. If you look up gun safes on the internet, you'll watch a ton of videos showing kids break into a safes by prying the doors opens. That's why having real safe with a super thick frame is better than buying a cheap overseas gun safe. Simply put, a good gun safe frame is 3/4" or 1" thick. And sometimes even thicker. Those kinds of super wide, reinforced frames are impossible to bend.

Also, when you buy a real safe, manufactures usually make those gun safes in the USA. If you tell them exactly what you want for an interior, they'll make it exactly the way you want. If you want a gun safe with 10 guns, 20 guns, all guns or super wide side shelves to put your weapons horizontally. Just ask, and if you're buying a good quality gun safe, the manufacturers will make your interior custom at no extra cost. Just tell them about your weapons, how big or bulky your rifles are, and they're make your gun safe interior custom.

And don't forget about weight. Every year gun safes are stolen. From houses, garages, businesses, it doesn't matter. If you have a light gun safe, if it's small and light weight, it could be stolen. If you want a gun safe that can't be hauled away by two men, you want to order it over 1000lbs. The heavier the better. And don't forget to bolt it to the ground. Chances are, if you bolt down your gun safe to a concrete floor, no amount of men will have strength to rip it from your garage floor. So bigger is always better for two reasons. One, you can fit more rifles and belongings in your gun safe, which increases it's capacity. But bigger is also better because it's heavier, which will make stealing your safe a near impossibility. So don't every skimp on size when it comes to ordering your safe. I've never run into someone who bought a safe too big. Never. Most clients complain it was too small. Because as you get older, you accumulate more things. More guns. More watches. More ammo. Just more stuff. When you have a big safe, you will always fill it. So the best gun safes are the biggest gun safes for this reason. So buy as big as you can. Unless you like buying five or six safes over your lifetime. They keep buying small safes, but for the smart buyers. Find out what gun safe you want and buy the next size up. You'll thanks us one day.

And finally, the biggest difference between a gun safe and a real safe is the most surprising. It isn't the price. A cheap gun safe is around $1000. A real safe is usually only about $500 more. That's it. So when you see a gun safe for sale, try to remember you're gonna have that big or small gun safe for the rest of your life. That means if you are prorating that $500 over 30 or 40 years, you're only paying $1.05 more a month over your life for that superior safe. That means $500 will buy you a gun safe that can't be pried open and lost to most fires. The extra money is well worth it.
